At Saffron, we understand the unique challenges you face when trying to secure a mortgage for your self employed clients. That’s why we take a case-by-case approach and offer flexible criteria.

Self Employed Specialist Proposition

  • Minimum 12 months’ accounts plus a projection of future earnings
  • Can consider most recent year with large increase subject to accountants reference and projection
  • FTB’s accepted
  • No minimum time when moving from sole trader to limited company

Contractors

  • Can consider gaps in contracts when the customer has self-financed this gap. – Please contact Lee about these cases

Day Rate/Fixed Term Contractors

  • Applicants must have 2 years’ employment history in any industry/role and a minimum of 3 months contract history
  • Day one contractors considered on a discretionary basis with a minimum of 1 years work experience in their contacting sector
  • Income calculated as Daily Rate x 5 x 48
  • No minimum income

Zero Hour Contractors

  • Primary and secondary applicants are allowable with a minimum of 1 year working experience in a similar industry

Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) Contractors

  • Minimum 1 years work experience in a similar industry
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 3 months CIS experience
  • Annualised over 48 weeks

Buy To Lets

  • Rental Cover on debt for debt re-mortgage cases 125% of pay rate including the discounted variable rate
  • Maximum Portfolio with Saffron of £3m (no external exposure limit)
  • Available to First-Time-Landlords & First-Time-Buyers
  • No differential stress-testing for standard and & higher rate tax payers
  • Regulated BTL’s for family members to reside in the property 

Expat BTL

  • Available to First-Time-Landlords & First-Time-Buyers
  • Flexible for occupation types (including self-employed, employed, contractors)
